Reverse: 1/4 RUPEE/INDIA/1939/Chahar Ana (Persian) within a single line circle, surrounded by a scroll composed of a rose, thistle & shamrock. The Indian Lotus is placed at the top and bottom with 2 different representations. All within a toothed decorative border an another plain-line circle.
